Body language expert says Kate Middleton wanted to “avoid stealing the attention” in royal comeback
|Kate Middleton’s royal return is by far the most positive news story about the Firm this year. It has been a very challenging few months for its members, not least for King Charles and the Princess of Wales, who both have received cancer treatment.
Kate Middleton appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside her husband and children, and several experts praised her for her return. Moreover, as always, her outfit was branded “, even though one expert had an opinion on the color she wore.
Kate Middleton looked healthy and happy, and now, a body language expert has examined her actions more closely. Even though she was the one people wanted to see, it appeared that Kate had a whole different plan.
In mid-March, Kate Middleton revealed to the world that she had received a shock cancer diagnosis. The Princess of Wales had been outside of the spotlight since January when she underwent abdominal surgery, and conspiracy theories surrounding her health spread quickly online.
While Kate’s cancer diagnosis statement was worrying, the public was finally given some answers as to why she had been kept outside the spotlight for so long. And last week, the princess shared what everyone had waited for.
Kate Middleton makes royal comeback
In a lengthy statement, the Princess of Wales announced that she would attend the Trooping the Colour, her first royal appearance since before her abdominal surgery.
“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” Kate said.
The Princess of Wales continued: “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”
She concluded: “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”
“She did look healthy,” royal expert says
Kate Middleton wore a white dress with a black bow and a white hat, with her hair in a bun as she waved and smiled at the many royal fans that had gathered for the “birthday” of the monarch.
As always, Kate Middleton’s outfit has generated many positive responses. But though it was undoubtedly an outfit fit for a future queen, royal expert Kinsley Schofield was “surprised” that the princess was wearing white.
“I wondered if she was going to go with the classic Wales blue that the entire family often wears. But she looked beautiful,” she told GB News. “She did look healthy. And if you look at pictures of her from the coronation, it’s the same woman. I felt a lot of relief seeing her today.”
The Princess of Wales appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the other senior royals and her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Royal fans were overjoyed to see the future queen for the first time in months. Garrison Sergeant Major Andrew told the BBC they discovered that Kate would attend as late as Friday.
“It was really nice to see the Princess of Wales, and the children of course. It made the day even more special,” he said. “We prepared for the princess, just in case,”
